The Arts and Digital Literacy Initiative website is a resource provided for educational purposes and all users are responsible for proper and secure use. The creators of this system, including the Texas Cultural Trust, The University of Texas at Austin College of Fine Arts, and Resources for Learning, LLC, will not be held responsible or liable for any content submitted by a user that is not in compliance with federal and/or state laws, or district/campus policies. Under no circumstances will the site developers or maintainers a be held responsible for consequences or penalties directly or indirectly related to user activity.

The release of student, staff, or administrator information without an individual’s consent is strictly prohibited. In the request of student information, it is the user’s responsibility to comply with federal and state laws concerning the rights to privacy for minors. In the request of consent to use student work, the student, parent, and/or guardian should be informed of the purpose for gathering work and intended recipient of the work. The user submitting student work to this site must secure appropriate student/parent/guardian release before uploading work to this site. The Arts and Digital Literacy Initiative partners will assume that work on this site has proper legal release and may include selected images for exemplars and marketing materials for this initiative.

It is the responsibility of the user and his/her district to maintain documentation and comply with local, state, and federal laws. Identifiable student and/or faculty information, such as names, should remain confidential. Additionally, location or building names, including the school and district name, or any other information that could potentially be used to identify students in the user’s or a colleague’s classroom or school, must be de-identified or otherwise masked by the user who submits the content to the site. Photos of students should not be placed on the site if there is any other identifying information in the photo or accompanying text on the page (names, places, ages, etc.). Users will be held solely responsible for consequences or penalties directly or indirectly related to unauthorized disclosure of such information. The Arts and Digital Literacy Initiative partners make no claim to monitor submitted content for compliance with district policies, local, state, or federal laws.

Users will be solely responsible for confidentiality of login, profile, account, and personal information provided to or from the system.

The Arts and Digital Literacy website allows the use of its components under the circumstance that users are forbidden to remove text, copyright, or any other proprietary information in an effort to redistribute contents.

Login and use of this site and materials provided therein constitute agreement with these terms of use.
